Since 2015, I have become increasingly involved with library sciences, specially in regard to the development of future knowledge systems. To explore this aspect, I led a team of researchers, artists and international scholars in a practice-based research project entitled »Data Loam«. This evolved into a much more significant research-experiment and, with the help of a PEEK programme, we developed a unique methodological pedagogy to contemporary art practice, media imaging and auto-indexing.

The »Data Loam« project was carried out between March 2017 and May 2019 in cooperation with the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the Royal College of Art in London, RIAT Vienna, as well as the Master’s programme Arts & Science. »Data Loam« is a PEEK project for the development and disclosure / interpretation / comprehension of the arts, funded by the FWF, the Fund for the advancement and promotion of scientific research. Thanks to the generous support of the AIL – Angewandte Innovation Lab, the final exhibition was made possible in February 2019. A book based on the project with the same title was released by Edition Angewandte / DeGruyter end of 2020 .

For more information on the project please consult the »Data Loam« webpage, for the complete text of the book, click here.
